Leavin' on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again!

Well....actually it is a 15 passenger van and I'll be back on Dec. 17, but you know...

So 3 days in a van! WoooHooo! Maybe longer if the weather is bad.. Should be in New Orleans on Monday night though if all goes according to plan.

I learned that I will be able to get mail at the house, but please remember that I will only be there for 4 weeks, so if it won't make it there before mid-December, send it to Campus. Letters are still fine to come to Campus, because they will just route them to me, but packages have to go to the New Orleans address, which is....

We had our Induction today, so now we are officially part of AmeriCorps NCCC! It was a pretty formal event. We had a keynote speaker and a Corps member that spoke as well as several others. The Keynote was a guy that now works at an environmental reserve in Denver and was a Corps member in Class 1 and a TL in class 2. He is also a sponsor for one of the water team's project this round. AND one of the water unit Team Leaders did a poetry performance - called Slam Poetry - it was really awesome. Sooo powerful! Barbara, the regional Director got a little choked up.

It was really cool to finally be done with CTI (training)!!! I can't wait to start the adventure!
